Visit of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor to St Ann’s – A joyful morning with our community

On 10th December, St Ann’s Catholic Church, Kingston Hill, had the pleasure of welcoming Councillor Noel Hadjimichael, Mayor of Kingston, and Councillor Sue Ansari, Deputy Mayor of Kingston, to our parish. Their visit brought great joy to our community, especially to our 60+ group and the many volunteers who serve faithfully every week.

From the moment they arrived, there was a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor spent time engaging with parishioners, sharing conversations, and appreciating the inclusive spirit that St Ann’s is known for.

Creative moments and shared joy

Our group started the session by colouring the clay stars that had been crafted by the group two weeks earlier. This simple, creative activity filled the hall with smiles and light-hearted conversation.

During refreshments, we shared a cheerful moment with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor, enjoying their gracious presence and the genuine interest they showed in our community life.

After expressing our thanks, we bid them farewell and continued the morning with our movement dance session, which kept the joyful spirit alive.

A memorable visit

We are delighted to share some of the joyful moments captured during this special visit. Our heartfelt thanks go to Councillor Noel Hadjimichael and Councillor Sue Ansari for taking the time to be with us, and to our wonderful 60+ community and volunteers who make every Wednesday a celebration of friendship, creativity, and warmth.
