Sr Ursula’s Renewal of her Religious Vows

Sr Ursula’s Renewal of her Religious Vows

We warmly congratulate Sr Ursula, Leader of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross for England and Wales, on the renewal of her religious vows during Mass at St Ann’s. The renewal of vows is a sacred and prayerful moment — not a new promise, but a renewed “yes” to the call first received, lived through chastity, poverty, and obedience, according to the Gospel and inspired by the spirituality of St Francis of Assisi. By renewing her vows in the presence of the parish community, Sr Ursula reminds us that vocation is not a single decision, but a lifelong journey of faithfulness.

Sr Ursula has shared these heartfelt words with our parish family:

“Dear St Ann’s Community,
I want to thank each one of you for making last Sunday’s Mass so very special for me. To have renewed my religious vows with you there was indeed an honour, and I felt very humbled. The flowers have a very special place in our chapel! Thank you, Father James, for making all this possible. Let us pray for each other, and may God bless and watch over our parish family.”

Sr Ursula

We thank Sr Ursula for her generous leadership, quiet witness, and faithful service, and we assure her and the Sisters of the Holy Cross of our continued prayers.
