THE STILL POINT
A Space for University Students – Prayer, Peace and Friendship

University life is an exciting journey, but it can also be demanding. Amidst studies, deadlines, responsibilities and the pressures of everyday life, young people need a little time to pause, breathe, reflect and reconnect with themselves, with God and with one another.
At the invitation of the Diocese, St Ann’s Catholic Church, Kingston Hill, is developing a welcoming spiritual space for university students, particularly those attending Kingston University, as well as students from Roehampton University, St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and other nearby institutions.
The Still Point is a new initiative bringing young people together for silent Eucharistic Adoration, prayer, pizza and friendship. Whether you are Catholic, from another Christian tradition, or simply seeking a quiet space for reflection, you are warmly welcome.
Our vision is to make St Ann’s a spiritual home for university students – a place where you can step away from academic pressures, experience peace, deepen your faith, build meaningful friendships and discover a community where you truly belong.
We will begin with monthly gatherings during this academic year, with the hope of gradually expanding to twice-monthly opportunities.
Our first gathering will take place on Thursday 19 November 2026, from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm, and will continue on the third Thursday of each month.
Venue: St Ann’s Catholic Church, Kingston Hill, KT2 7LX.
Come as you are. Bring a friend. Take some time for yourself.
A little silence, a little prayer, a little friendship – sometimes these are exactly what we need.
The Still Point – Come away. Be still. Be renewed.
