All Saints’ Day – Parade of Saints
Sunday, 2nd November 2025 – 10:30 am Mass
St Ann’s Catholic Church, Kingston Hill
Dear Parishioners,
We are delighted to announce that this year we will celebrate All Saints’ Day in a very special way – with our first ever Parade of Saints at the 10:30 am Mass on Sunday, 2nd November 2025.
While the world celebrates Halloween, its origins lie in our Catholic tradition of All Hallows’ Eve – the vigil of All Saints’ Day. It is a time to remember and rejoice with the saints who have gone before us, inspiring us to live holy and faithful lives.
Children’s Parade of Saints
All children are warmly invited to take part by dressing up as their favourite saint. Whether it’s St. Francis of Assisi, St. Joan of Arc, St. Mother Teresa, St. Thérèse of Lisieux, St. Joseph, St. Sebastian, or any saint who inspires you – bring their story to life through your costume!
- Children dressed as saints will join the offertory procession and later walk out joyfully in the recessional.
- After Mass, each child will be awarded a medal and a surprise prize in recognition of their participation.
This is a wonderful opportunity for families to reflect on the lives of the saints together – perhaps even choosing the saint after whom you are named, or one whose example speaks to your heart.
A Celebration of Faith and Joy
Let us make this a fun, faith-filled celebration, teaching our young ones that holiness is not far away but lived in the everyday. As St. Thérèse reminds us: “Do small things with great love.”
We look forward to celebrating with you and your families as we honour the saints who continue to guide us on our journey of faith.
St. Lucy, St. Francis, St. Joan of Arc, St. Mother Teresa, St. Joseph, St. Thérèse, and all holy men and women, pray for us!
