Fourth Sunday of Lent: Embraced by Love
Sunday 30 March 2025 | Laetare Sunday
As we journey through Lent, this Sunday we pause for joy and reflection with Laetare Sunday. The Gospel of the Prodigal Son speaks profoundly to us of God’s boundless mercy and the embrace that waits for each one of us. On this special day, we also honour Mother’s Day – celebrating the love, care, and strength of all the women in our parish family.
💐 Post-Mass Gathering: After the 10:30 AM Mass, all are invited to the parish hall for a light celebration in honour of our mothers and women of faith.

🌱 Parish Planting Day – A Gift to Nature & Community
Sunday 27 April 2025 | After 10:30 AM Mass
In the spirit of St Francis of Assisi, we will gather as one family to plant flowers, bushes, and trees across our church grounds. This event is open to all – families, neighbours, school children, and well-wishers. It will also include the blessing of our new Francis of Assisi Fountain.
“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.”
Organised by the Catechism Children and the Church Maintenance Team. Come plant with love and memory.
🙏 Marymount School – Pilgrims of Hope Walk
We joyfully welcome Marymount International School to St Ann’s on Tuesday 1 April. Their ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ sponsored walk will include a time of prayer at our church as they journey to Richmond Park. May this walk deepen their faith and love for creation.
🍞 Foodbank Collection Drive – Lent in Action
We are supporting Kingston Foodbank during Lent. Please bring items such as tinned goods, cereals, milk, rice, tea, and toiletries to Sunday Masses. Collection baskets are placed at Mary’s Chapel. Your kindness helps feed over 50 families each week.
🌾 Church Grounds – A Labour of Love
Heartfelt thanks to all who helped transform our church lawn! With grass seeding complete and a sprinkler system being installed, our grounds are coming to life. Special thanks to Michael, Jack, Peter, San, Jose, Loyola, Romola, Lourdes, Diane, Liam, and others. Your time and effort are a true blessing.
🕊️ House Blessings
Fr James is happy to visit families for house blessings during Lent and Easter. Please contact him directly if you’d like to receive a blessing at home.
